Access Yahoo Mail with Mac OS X Mail Using POP on MacFreePOPs

For set up access to a free Yahoo Mail account in Mac OS X Mail you need to do -

• Download and Install MacFreePOPs and watch the freepopsd service is running.
• Select Mail | Preferences from the menu tab in Mac OS X Mail.
• After that Go to the Accounts category.
• Click on the + at the bottom of the Accounts list.
• Type your name on the full name feild Full Name: and Enter your full Yahoo Mail address (e.g. "ashish@yahoo.com") under Email Address:.

• Make sure Automatically set up account is not checked. And now Click Continue.
• Watch POP is selected on Account Type , EnterYahoo Mail on Account Description.
• Write "localhost" (without the quotation marks) on Incoming Mail Server, you can write "127.0.0.1" in place of localhost also.
• Write your full Yahoo Mail address ("something@yahoo.com", for something) under User Name. Mac OS X Mail probably has already entered your user name , and it's enough to append "@yahoo.com" to complete the address.
• Click Continue and if there is some error messenger again click Continue, watch it Password is selected in Authentication, unchecked the Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), and Click Continue, Select an existing mail server to send mail on Outgoing Mail Server.

• For Outgoing Mail Server you can use any mail provider like gmail , fastmail.Click Continue.
• Now click Create , Highlight the Yahoo Mail account in the Accounts list.
• After that Go to the Advanced tab ,write "2000" (not including the quotation marks) under Port,Close the Accounts window.

Access Yahoo Mail with Mac OS X Mail Using IMAP On IzyMail

1. First register your Yahoo Mail account with IzyMail.
2. Now Select Mail | Preferences. from the menu tab in Mac OS X Mail, Go to the Accounts category.
3. Click + under the accounts list. Make sure IMAP is selected under Account Type.
4. Type "Yahoo Mail (IzyMail)" under Account Description write your name under Full Name write your complete Yahoo Mail address in Email Address feild Click Continue Enter "in.izymail.com" (not including the quotation marks) under Incoming Mail Server. Write your full Yahoo Mail address under User Name If your Yahoo Mail address is qwertui@yahoo.com, do write "something@yahoo.com".
5. Type your Yahoo Mail password under Password. Click Continue.
6. Write "out.izymail.com" (without the quotation marks) on Outgoing Mail Server.
7. Watch the Use Authentication is checked if not then checked it.Enter your full Yahoo! Mail address under User Name.
8. Write your Yahoo! Mail password in Password feild again.
9. Click Continue ,Click Continue again, Now click Done. Cloe the Accounts window ,Click Save
10. After that Open the _Draft folder under Yahoo! Mail (IzyMail) in the folder list.
11. Select Mailbox | Use This Mailbox For | Drafts from the menu tab.
12. Open the _Sent folder under Yahoo! Mail (IzyMail).
13. Select Mailbox | Use This Mailbox For | Sent from the menu tab.
14. Open the _Trash folder under Yahoo Mail (IzyMail).
15. Select Mailbox | Use This Mailbox For | Trash from the menu tab.
16. Open the _Bulk folder under Yahoo! Mail (IzyMail).
17. Select Mailbox | Use This Mailbox For | Junk from the menu Tab.
