Is blocking pictures in an email protect my privacy?
Identifying computer by picture on emails now making easy to spammers and hackers to get the information of recipient of email. Now a days there are various email service that claim themself about they can know how and when the email has been received, opened and read by the recipients of email, those all can be done with sending pictures and images on to email.
Here Now i am telling you how picture or images take information of your computer if you have got an picture on email and allow that picture to download on your email.
There are two types of pictures you can view on your email those are given below.
- Pictures which fetched on email by email provider and the sender's email provider.
- Pictures which fetched as remote images and attachments by the email sender on to the email.
The first picture which fetched by email provider is secure if you view. There is no problem if you view them and also your email provider doesn't give you the warning if you view those pictures.
But the other pictures which fetched on email as remote images or attachments they can take the information from your computer and send it to the email sender.
With remote images and pictures email sender can navigate you to other webpage automatically if you press them to open it and with this on the landing page he can make hard code on high level language which can take information of your computer.
The other approach used to get the information of your computer and effect your email privacy is to use some techniques when you try to view the image on your email, if you view the images then the image or picture will download from the other server at which it is uploaded and from there while it is being downloading from the server at the same time the information of your computer will be sending to the email sender.
That is how the privacy effected if the picture has been viewed which is on the email. So the better option for the recipient of email is to block the picture from email sender which can protect your privacy.
