Conclusion On Plain Html Or Rich Text - Plain text emails are more secure than the rich or html text emails, here i am giving you some of the reasons why they are more secure than the html or rich text based email.

I always use rich and html text based email format to send emails to my email recipients but one day i received a complaint from someone that his computer is not working properly from the day when he opened one of my sent mail. He told me the email i have sent him had virus in the image. But i don't know this thing that i have a virus on my computer. Is it possible that html and rich both text emails can be infected by virus, malwares or spyware? Do i need to use plain text format than the html or rich text format of email to send my email more secure?

Are plain text emails secure than html or rich text emails?

I know that rich and html text gives you lots of facilities by which you can make your email attractive. Not even attractive but also you can make a presentation on your email with html and rich text format. But it also have some drawbacks too which attract hackers and spammers for their own benefits and the user of email account see themselves as s victim.

In the latest operating system like windows 7, windows vista and other software user now we can see the part of an email on preview pane which means now user don't have to permit any email or document to open it, With the help of preview pane user can see the email or document automatically without giving the permission this is a very powerful feature and attractive too, it will reduce the amount of time and event on user side but it has it's own drawbacks too where now malware, virus or spyware may automatically activate themself without a permission of email user.

Html text are very attractive you can Bold Any text you want, You can make any Text Italic which you want. and all this can be done by simple html tag. Html gives you lots of other feature like embedding Other images in to the email or may be if you like you can embed flash files also within your email Which make email very very attractive. But all those term like images, flash may harm your email account too because hackers and spammers used those files to send virus onto your email account and from email the virus may navigate themself into your computer.

Here we will see why plain text emails are more secure and the advantages of plain text over the html and rich text format.

Advantages of Plain text over the html and rich text

Plain email text never termed as spam email because there is no images and you are not going to send it to thousands of people.
Plain text are more smaller with respect to size over the html and rich text format.
Plain text can't be infected by virus as html and rich can be.

Plain text are more secure than the html and rich text format

As i said before that plain text email can't be infected by virus and so your email account will be secure in plain text format and because plain text format email can not be termed as spam email except you didn't sent this to thousand of people or didn't use the words with email provider pay attention to be spam email. So this plain text format email more secure than the html and rich text format.
